Currently I am a college student majoring in marketing who's worked at a digital marketing agency for the last 1.5 years. I've gotten a lot of exposure to different aspects of digital marketing like SEO, PPC, Reputation Management, Social Media, Email Marketing, Copywriting, & lots of softwares (raventools, hootsuite, screaming frog, GA, etc).

I feel like we offer a lot of services that definitely it's best to have a professional do for best results like PPC or SEO. Although I feel like their are others that with some help and guidance a business owner could do themselves.

Intro my idea for an app

I want to create an app that can help small business with some aspects of digital marketing, but of course not all of them. This app wouldn't focus on things like copywriting, ppc, or seo.

I want it to be primarily a service that focuses on reputation management and email marketing.

Reputation Management - Help with claiming GMB listings and creating FB pages, responding to reviews, notifying when bad or good reviews come in so they can respond.

Email Marketing - Create a program where they can upload a CSV file (names, emails) and then send out surveys or newsletters to recieve feedback from clients and then send emails with links to FB & GMB to aquire reviews.

I feel like small business are a great targeted audience because a lot of them are masters of their craft but not necessarily digital marketing. Which is understandable. You don't expect your local bagel shop to know how to send out surveys to recieve feedback on their business and also accrue more reviews on online listings (or maybe they do). I also feel like a lot of these small business care more about having multiple reviews on their listings more than being #1 or SERP. That's nice to have, but I feel like for a service based businesses reviews are king.

I would want to create an app with a clean UI something that anyone could look at and understand very easily. And I also think that since these two services are softwares that can be built, and not necessarily things that need to be actively monitored like a ppc campaign I could keep the cost low-ish because at the end of the day I want to create this app to help small businesses with their digital marketing efforts.

Any ideas, criticism, advice, tips are welcome! I'm 21 and I really want to create something to help others but I realize that at my age what I have in energy and ideas I lack in experience. ツ
