Experience hiring siblings?

I have a girl that has been working for us for the last year. She is excellent.

We are looking to bring on a new team member and she mentioned her brother would be interested in the position. I interviewed him and he is great.

Does anyone have experience hiring siblings and did it work out?

I am aware that work disagreements could become personal disagreements fast. I also realize that if it doesn’t work out with him, it may affect our relationship with her.

They both say they are happy to work together and have done so in the past with much success.

An important note: our company is 100% remote so they wouldn’t be working together physically. I feel this adds an additional layer of safety in the relationship and gives an extra buffer to any potential issues.

Thanks for your insight!
