Entrepreneurship & Mindfulness - AmandaRob - 12-17-2020 Entrepreneurship & Mindfulness I'm hoping to talk to entrepreneurs about mindfulness/meditation from the perspective of being an entrepreneur.
Personally, I've messed around with meditation for years but never went all-in. Recently, I was inspired by Naval Ravikant to take on a 60 minute for 60 days meditation challenge. His meditation format is really simple. There really isn't any rules besides sitting upright in one spot for 60 minutes. I think classifying it as a mindfulness practice is most apt because Naval has said that he uses it mostly to observe whatever comes up. If he's "trying" to do anything, it is simply to constantly observe whatever comes up in his thoughts, body, or mind. Anyways, I'm on day 45 now and it is inspiring me to do more in the meditation space. I've been keeping something of a "meditation journal" that I write in after most sessions. I've just an alpha version for a mindfulness training app for "busy" people (professionals, entrepreneurs, people with a 9-5, students, etc.). I'm also considering doing a 60 day yoga challenge once studios begin opening to explore that side of mindfulness (getting a lot of exercise and improving the mind at the same time seems like killing two birds with one stone). TLDR; Is mindfulness important to you as an entrepreneur? [link] [comments] |
