Receiving an international shipment at a port?

I bought something big from China. It's coming to a local port. They're asking for Consignee and a Notify Party. I don't really want to pay a logistics company to pick it up and bring it to me unless absolutely necessary. I was hoping to drive down to the port with a Uhaul and pick it up myself. It will probably be big enough that it requires a forklift. I assume the port has plenty of those and will put it in the back of the Uhaul for me?

Clearly, I am lost. Any advice would be appreciated.
