At what point is a good time to hire help for a small building company?

I started a company building small outdoor habitat structures (think fancy chicken coops). I've had constant work and continue to book into next year, however it's only me and at some point I'd like to hire on help. I imagine the loss from pay would pay off in speed, finishing orders faster. Any advice?
