Personality clash with founder - can this work? - Albert - 08-29-2021 Personality clash with founder - can this work? I am employee nr 9 and COO in a tech scale-up. As I have moved deeper into my role of industrialising the prototype things have gone south in the relationship with the CEO/founder. The problem lies in a combination of our different personalities (creative vs structured) - which is a very promising combination if we succeed in becoming a team - and growth pains, mostly difficulty sharing some of the responsibility. After six month on the job the atmosphere in the room is nearing the freezing point. The CEO's inability to let go and let me do my job is becoming increasingly frustrating / getting in the way of the company moving forward. We have ended up in a downward spiral. The company has great potential and a favourable funding situation to get there. I really want to be part of that journey. Can this be overcome? Anyone who has been in the same positions and has advice? [link] [comments] |
