I don't feel busy enough for a startup/entrepreneur - AmandaRob - 10-25-2021 I don't feel busy enough for a startup/entrepreneur I constantly see people who get into entrepreneurship/startups talk about how busy it is, how they don't have a social life, how they stay up till 12 and wake up at 5. Hollywood likes to portray the same thing, a businessman running errands nonstop with a phone plastered to the side of his head. I was expecting a lot of work when I first started my startup, but truth be told I don't feel like it. Granted Im only a few months in, but I feel like there just isn't that much work to do. The project is moving along, MVP is out, everything that needs to be done just seems done and we have seed funding/investors etc, so I don't feel like we're failing the company. I have a team assembled and we do delegate, but I cant help but feel a lot of the times that I'm just not doing enough, that I'm not busy enough. I'm currently in college and have plenty of time for school, have a part time job as well as work out regularly and hang out with friends. Of course this isn't saying I didn't have busy days, when it got rolling I'd spend 12 hours straight working vehemently on the project or business, but thats only like a few days out of a month. Certainly not the life I imagined when I started the startup. Does anyone else feel this way? Is the whole entrepreneur/startup life overhyped, or have we just not got into the busy part yet?
