Here is some back story. My aunt who owns a business is having me work at said business. We are splitting profits so I do not have a hourly rate and I work whatever hours are necessary.

She was telling me to look into "doing business as" (California) so that she doesn't have to pay double taxes on my income.

What should I be looking into for myself tax wise ect?
