As part of the plans, Covid passes will be extended to cinemas, theatres and concert halls from 15 November. Liam Evans-Ford, executive director of Mold's Theatr Clwyd, says the industry is willing to do "whatever it takes" to prevent the re-introduction of social distancing and lockdowns, after being "devastated" over the past 18 months. Speaking to BBC Radio Wales Breakfast, he says: "If it means the spread of Covid reduces in Wales and that maybe some of the more nervous or vulnerable people in our communities are more confident to come back to theatres, then we're happy to do that. "But two weeks to turn around is not long… What's the data that means we're the ones having to introduce it sooner than anybody else? How much of a difference is this going to make?" |
