Guidance on starting Sourcing Business - AmandaRob - 08-30-2022 Guidance on starting Sourcing Business Redditors, I am planning to start a business in the New England Area where I will help local small-medium scale business in procuring items that they currently purchase. The benefit will be cheaper price and better quality. Area of focus will be: mechanical and electromechanical parts (gears, motors, sub-assemblies, etc.) In my day job, I work as a Global Supply Manager and have made some good contacts with suppliers in China and other SE Asian countries. Figured why not do this for myself rather than working for another company. I am looking for help on where to start. I have absolutely no idea and am overwhelmed with next steps. Reaching out to other entrepreneurs who can help me narrow my focus. First thoughts that come to mind are: - prepare a pitch deck (about the company, how I can help, etc) - find local companies and send them cold emails with the pitch deck Any help is appreciated.
