Is there any value to the startup in promoting the completion of a seed raise? - Albert - 09-01-2022 Is there any value to the startup in promoting the completion of a seed raise? I know that VCs get some value of documented progress with their own investors when promoting that they've participated in or even led a round, but I'm wondering what value this actually brings to an early stage company. Example:
How do you weigh the value of publicity for a nascent product that isn't even ready to scale yet against trying to lease office space and hire new employees when the people on the other side of the table can Google how much money just dropped into your bank account? I want to stay quiet as long as possible, but I'm not sure if investors will be okay with that. Any thoughts? [link] [comments] |
