When to pull the plug ?

There is this phenomenon called Commitment Bias or escalation of commitment.

In short: You get data / feedback that your project is failing but keep going after it nevertheless.

? You find a lot out there about failed managers, stupid government projects and even costly military decision-making.

? You find very little about early-stage founders. An example in the startup context might be: People didn't respond well to an idea I had but I built the product anyway. At the end I had to give it up as nobody bought it.

Dear community, I would love to learn from stories about founders who fell prey to the commitment bias ??

?? Do you know a story? ?? Have you experienced this bias in your own project? ?? Do you know a secret place that is full of these stories?

Appreciate all of your thoughts about it!
