Giving Free Talks for Multi-Billion Dollar Company's? - Albert - 03-11-2023 Giving Free Talks for Multi-Billion Dollar Company's? I'm part of an incubator, and we're one of their top startups. The incubator often partners with large corporations to help them "innovate", I believe as part of their business model. One day, I was randomly cold-emailed by the incubators partnership department in one of the sloppiest intros I've ever seen, and even though I did not opt in, I was then quickly followed up by receiving a message from a multi-billion dollar company. They wanted me to come in-person to talk with their emerging executives about how to innovate. Because the whole concept and the intro were vague, I participated in a 30m call where they told me about the program, I was waiting on the punchline where they explained to me how I or my company benefited -- it never came. We got to the end of the call, and I asked about compensation. They said their would be none. The company is not a competitor, and will likely never be a client (as they have no need for our product/service). I have nothing to lose or gain from this directly. Would you do this?
