C Corp - How to begin creating and issuing stock with existing members?

I have a C Corp located in Delaware US with multiple existing equity owners. I am interested in being able to offer new employees stock within our company as an extra incentive but there has never been any verbiage relating to stock in our articles of incorporation or otherwise.

Does anyone know how this would work or where I could go to find out? Would current equity members receive stock related to their equity?
