Selling an unbound book?

Selling an unbound book?

I’m trained as a death doula, but since I can’t seem to escape from my desk job yet I decided to write a guidebook/work book to help people prepare on multiple levels. This would give me some extra income (and in a perfect world enough to plan my desk job exit, even to a part time thing), and offer people a more affordable alternative to the expense of hiring a doula. Plus, some people just prefer to be self-guided.

But here’s the thing. This needs to be in a binder instead of bound because it needs to allow people to insert plenty of extra pages in the sections they fill out themselves as those could go infinitely long if they want, and it needs those clear envelopes for inserting important documents. I also would like to have each one personalized with the person’s name, if not other options like large print if at all possible. So either there’s an alternative to binders I’m not thinking of, or this is going to greatly limit me in where the book can sell. I doubt I’ll get very far selling exclusively on Etsy, so does anyone know if it might still be possible to have a small stock of un-personalized ones in brick and mortar stores? If not, what may be some other online options?
