My partners and I formed a General partnership because we had to move fast to start building up our processing plant before the Nov. 16 start date for a contract. We wanted a partnership agreement in place and a designated company checking account before we began purchasing equipment. We had planned on converting to an LLC during the few months between starting to setup the processing plant and beginning the Nov. contract.
Problem is, Wells Fargo wouldn’t recognize us as a business, even with an EIN, notarized partnership agreement and Trade Name registration with the state and we’re having a heck of a time finding warehouse space that will lease to us without being an LLC.
Am I missing an important piece here or do I have no choice but to go the LLC route now and push out our timeline for everything else a few weeks??
Sincerely, A stressing business owner
