Hi there everyone, to begin this is just an idea and I would love feedback and potentially other people who would be interested in helping.
It is mother's day weekend, and as you can expect, everyone is shopping for flowers, gifts, etc. While I was at the store today, I overheard others complain about how long the line was, I then asked "if there was a mobile app that would allow you to scan your items and pay for them without waiting for self-check out, would you be interested?" They all unanimously said yes.
However, I HAVE NOT DONE COMPLETE MARKET VALIDATION, as of yet. I am planning on going back to the store soon, and creating a survey to see how many people would be interested in paying a subscription for an app like this.
The idea behind the application is to allow customers to walk into any store, scan the barcode of a desired item, and pay for it through an application that is linked to the store's online webpage.
For example, if I were to go to target and pickup bananas, I would scan the barcode of the bananas with my phone, and I would be automatically connected to target's online store and pay for my bananas right then and there. This process would be registered as an online order internally, but the store would be notified that this was done in house.
Ideally, this service would follow a SAAS model and customers would pay $5 a month to keep the application on their device.

FLAWS WITH THIS IDEA:
- Instacart has already tackled this idea, however, people still need to go to the grocery store and grocery stores are still busy as ever.
- I have not done enough market validation to know if this is an idea that is worth pursuing, however, I am highly confident that most customers would be on board
- This idea is not targeting a niche. This is targeting a very broad market, which typically does not always pan out how originally intended.
