Home Office Tax Question - Can I Business Expense a Generator [Texas]

Hi all,

I live in Houston, Texas and I am curious to know if I can business expense a portable generator.

I work in graphic design so my business is entirely digital and dependent on the computer and my hard drives having power at all times for me to perform my job. If the power went out due to a hurricane or inclement weather for an extended period of time (6+ hours for me), my business would be negatively impacted.

I was curious to know if anyone was familiar with this type of purchase as a business asset being considered a business expense?
