I [15M] live in a rural area, so can’t mow lawns, babysit, walk pets, petsit, etc. I can’t do anything that involves me going to other peoples houses, either. I have decided against getting a regular part-time job for now - It’s not worth it.
Already growing fruit/veggies. Already working on a chicken farm/renting chickens/selling chickens/etc. Already planning on tutoring. Already planning on selling stuff at market stalls. Already got a YT channel. I expect to be making about 1K a month by doing these things, but I want 2K.
I’d be okay with $500/month, but I would like to be making ~1K+/month.
I was thinking of buying a small dinghy-type boat and renting it out, but my dad said that I’d be paying a ton for insurance [Even though Google says that it is less than a grand on average, for a regular-sized boat], that I’d barely ever be able to rent the boats out because the weather will nearly always be bad [Even though it seems to be fine most of the time], that I’d need to train people before I can rent the boats out to them [Even though you don’t really need any training/licenses/etc to use a boat, and I don’t see why I can’t just show them how to turn it on, move it around, etc], that I won’t be able to make any money [It’d take less than 2 months to break even if I rented the boat out every day], etc, etc, etc, so now I don’t want to do that.
My skills aren’t really important here. I’m not good enough to make websites and am already planning on tutoring.
