Startup is getting acquired.. now what?

The start up I was working for is being acquired by another company. I was given an option to purchase x number of common stock shares at a per share price equal to the fair market value on the date of the grant. I was never told what the fair market value was.

Now that the acquisition is under way, what should I be doing? What should happen next? Sorry, this process is very new to me. Please share your knowledge.
