Website design ?

So my wife and I are going to be starting our own product sales and we have about 3 months before we go live but we are looking into website design for our product but we are worry that it would look cheap and unprofessional.

My question is, do I have enough time to learn web design enough to not make it look like shit or would I be better off dropping the money for a web-builder?

I know just very basic computer skills.
