Advice on website and investors

I am completely new to the entrepreneurial world. I am building a website and plan to look for investors in the future. However, right now, I can build out the initial prototype with functions in place. But the frontend will be really barebones and lacking any real aesthetics. Will I still be able to get any kind of initial investment as such? Picking up enough web design skills, or hiring someone, will just be too costly right now.
