Making the leap from F100 to startup. Would love to hear personal anecdotes/advice?

I’m about to receive an offer from a startup and really excited. They’d be paying me 45% more than what I’m making now + equity, with a seemingly high ceiling for growth, would allow me to change industries, and seems like a great culture be in.

I graduated college in 2018, and have been working at a F100 company for the past 2 years and am told that I’m about to be promoted. But I don’t like the people or the work or the culture (it’s not toxic...I just don’t like it)- but I’m really good at my job.

I’ve made the pros and cons list of both and 90% sure that I’d accept the offer at this startup. My only concern, having worked at a large corp and top school that bred kids for corporate life, is the uncertainty around startup life. Will it even be around in a year? Will it secure more funding? What if my division gets downsized? What do career exit opps look like? What happens to my job if the company is acquired? What does recruiting look like afterwards? What if I don’t do a good job?

Whereas as sticking with ‘the devil I know’, I can be sure of certain things. I know I’ll be promoted soon, that the name is reputable on my resume, that it is a leader in my industry, that I can manage the work, that I’m good at it.

I’m sure these are mostly typical woes of young 20 something and something that comes up often for those taking the leap from large corps to startups, but anyone have any advice/words of wisdom? How can I make the most of this opportunity? I’d love to hear from people’s personal experiences.

For context, the company is series C and <$50 M in funding, I’d be joining as employee #150.
