This may be a question for a lawyer, but I’m outsourcing development of an app to an agency and the biggest thing I’m worried about is scams. The guy I’ve been talking to seems nice, hasn’t been pushy, and we’ve been discussing everything for over a week.
Only problem is the presentation he sent me outlining the project looked like it was put together in a day. It had an iPhone X and on the screen you could see they copy and pasted a background because a bit of it stuck out from the phone, and the grammar made it clear that they have a team in another country that’s handling development. The website doesn’t look bad, but they don’t have too many reviews or anything for me to go off of.
Just in case his company doesn’t deliver, can I get his them to sign a contract prior to developing the app that protects the money I send him and states guidelines for what I want done?
