Selling a white-label franchise/business model - is this possible?

Hey Everyone,

I have an idea and I wanted your thoughts on how this would work. My business partner and I have a small chain of specialty retail shops based out of Canada and I was wondering about the possibility of selling these as a white-label business to potential owner-operators in the US.

The Canadian store's focus is made in Canada, so having US stores with the same name wouldn't make sense, but the business model is very simple to execute and very profitable. It's focus is in the locally made market so keeping the names different is actually an asset. We would the owner to create their own logo and branding.

The stores have a very low cost to start (Sub $20,000), and can recoup losses and turn a profit by the 3rd month. The typical profit of each store is $10,000 - $14,000/m including salary for 2 staff (full-time and part-time) before paying the owner. Owner work hours is about 20/week.

We also own a piece of proprietary piece of technology which is vital to the business success/operation, we would license this as part of the franchise deal. As well all our operating manuals, information, marketing materials, etc.

Is it possible to sell a 'business model + technology' as a turn-key business? And how would one go about valuing the package that we would sell?

Thanks!
