Hi all. I recently founded and in the process, issued stock for myself, reserved shares for my co-founder, and an option pool. Standard stuff...
Q: I'd like to put my own funds into the company and I'm not seeking additional equity at this point. Should apply funds in the form of a loan or as a convertible note? Or through some other means?
I was advised that future investors may ask that I convert that loan into a convertible note to protect their investment to prevent me from immediately paying myself back. I'm fine with this option if it must take place but again, I'm not seeking additional equity.
Additionally, I don't want to do anything that raises flags during future due dilligence. Any feedback on what may be the best options?
PS I've been with this community for a while now and I really appreciate the contribution everyone has made, inspirational and very helpful, thanks.
