The phrase “All people are different” is the first step that dooms us to create a small business.
1. Let's imagine that we have a target audience of 1000 people, to whom we can offer 100 "flavors and colors". According to the Pareto rule, 800 (80%) people will prefer 20 (20%) variants of tastes and colors. 640 (80% * 800) people - 4 (20% * 20) tastes and colors. And 1 (20% * 4) taste and color will satisfy 512 (80% * 640) people. In other words, by finding just one correct taste and color, we will attract more than half of the target audience.
2. Anyone who gets confused and implements 3 (4-1) of the next most attractive options - will attract only 128 people. Three times the effort - four times less attractiveness. It's not even worth talking about those poor fellows who will try to please the next most important tastes and colors - they are just a pity.
3. The famous mathematician Chebyshev spoke in 1878 in Paris with a lecture "Mathematical Methods for Cutting Clothes". Of course, the best Parisian tailors came to the lecture. But after the words “Let's assume, for simplicity, that the human body has the shape of a ball,” they all got up together and left the hall.
