Most of the past discussions on franchising on this sub have numerous posters warning of the extremely long hours (80 hours plus) and essentially that you’re buying yourself a job. I can certainly see how that would be the case in a construction/home services or food concept but what about certain retail with normal business hours like cell phone repair, authorized phone dealer, UPS store etc? Roll off dumpsters, breakfast and lunch only concepts and others. Lots of these these places are open like 10-7 so even if you worked open to close 7 days a week you’re “only” at 63 hours or so. I’m not looking to buy a Ferrari every year I’m just hoping to provide a good life for my family without sacrificing all of my time with them, which is what I’m doing currently.
