I am looking for a technical co-founder to join my company in the impact/sustainability sector. So far, I have an MVP which I have pitched to target customers and have established product market fit. Since I come from a tech background (not a software engineering role), I thought it would be easy to find a top-notch tech leader. However, many tech people that I want to work with don't know or even care about the sustainability sector. And the ones who care are not qualified (technically) enough for my liking.
I am looking for someone pragmatic, with tech leadership experience, a background in data - preferably ML/AI- and who also cares about the environment. I just know someone who is using plastic utensils and doesn't recycle is not compatible with the company's mission, no matter how impressive their resume is.
So far, I've been unable to find this perfect co-founder, and I am starting to think they don't exist. Am I being ridiculous with my expectations?
