Context: I struggle with anxiety and sent a message to my investor. We are friends and have a decent rapport outside of this, but there's a new layer of anxiety as he is putting up all the cash for the business.
We have negotiated a 30%/70% split because he doesn't want to be involved in any day-to-day operations.
I am doing all the legwork, and sent him spreadsheets and research I had done, and he said:
"Wow, you're on top of things!"
I responded with "Haha, trying to be. I figure if I'll be going in at a higher equity I gotta work for it. ?"
I meant it in a "Don't worry, I'm taking care of the business" kind of way, but I'm worried it might have come off wrong.
