Web dev agency: should I help the people emailing us technical questions for free?

Hello,

I own a web development agency for e-commerces for roughly 5 years now, it has been going well but I think I may be losing customers due to my approach.

Please shed some light if you will.

Oftentimes people send emails to our business asking technical questions that are very simple for us developers, but definitely challenging for who is not a coder. It's something I can solve in 4 minutes or so.

The thing is that whenever I offer to solve the problem for X price (payment only after completion), 80% of the time they don't reply back.

My question is:

Should I just help these people for free? Or since they rarely reply back they would never be coming back either way and it is a waste of time?
