Okay so my husband is an electrician and normally we create invoices the old fashioned way -- but my husband mentioned how great it would be to have an app he could just plug in all the tasks he completed at a job and how many hours worked and have an invoice created off of that. I'm having a hard time googling this because its not simple to explain.
If you've ever been a server, think of it as creating a ticket/check. We would be able to create a 'check' that would calculate "x amount of outlets, x amount of switches, x amount of time" and automatically create an invoice -- so the program would have a library or database with the cost of items and services.
I feel like this should and probably does exist but it's not super clear to me. Thank you in advance for any insights!
