Basically, in the current setup, attorneys are given a percentage of the revenue they bring in for clients cases they’re working. This makes the “productive” lawyers a lot of money, but it really just incentivizes opening and closing cases quickly.

We do criminal law work. Our goal is to make money, of course, but that’s just a part of it. We need to be great defense attorneys. That means fighting like hell to get the best possible outcome for every client. It also means taking time to be with a client when the situation calls for it - taking time to explain, to strategize, allay fears, etc.

Being a great attorney and being an efficient closer of cases isn’t always the same thing. That’s why I’m interested in hearing perspectives from others who may have done this before.

Totally unrelated: if you really like your website and SEO service, please refer them to me. I need to get a new website up for a separate business and I’m looking for competent help there.
