We’re hopefully shipping our product today for the first time!
We’re B2B SaaS in the services space and have been working closely with our (1st) major pilot client since March. Our product is currently custom for them (but we have a lot of customers in the pipeline that would use a very similar solution).
We finished building last week (we’ve had about a dozen meetings since March to refine the product to their needs). So they’re ready for this custom build, and met with us just last Friday to plan logistics for delivery day, which is today!
They agreed to a live demo, followed by a staged mock use (essentially us observing their staff use it live), plus a discussion about switching the software on for production.
I’m very excited for this (not gonna be easy to fall asleep), but I’m wondering if anyone has any advice to keep in mind going into this meeting!
We’re college students, so the company is very invested in supporting us. We initially priced our solution at $10k/yr in our first meeting, which they agreed to instantly, before scope became custom. Last week they told us not to be afraid to discuss price, suggesting they’re willing to pay us more. The annual cost savings we drive are about $60k, conservatively.
