How bad does it look to change an estimate?

How bad does it look to change an estimate?

I’m trying to branch out my lawn care business and do more landscaping work. I gave an estimate for removing 12 Yew shrubs. I’ve removed other bushes/shrubs before and can typically get them out in less than an hour. Well...I just got done researching Yews and I think I just greatly underestimated how long it will take me to remove just one of them. How bad will it look if I contact them and tell them it’ll be more than I originally estimated? I haven’t started any of the work yet but still feel like it’ll look bad on me to change my estimate. I’ve underbid in the past and just sucked it up and did the work and took the loss. But I’m afraid this is going to take entirely too much time for how little I’m going to be paid.

Note: I didn’t know they were Yews till I got there or I would have done my research before meeting with them. Also landscapers who have removed Yews are they really as bad as the internet makes them out to be? And typically how long does it take you to remove one?
