Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone could chime in who has experience being approached by an acquisition company. I started an e-commerce business about 8 years ago, and since then it has grown from about 30k revenue to over 1.5 million. Today I was approached for the first time by an acquisition company about purchasing the business. Since they are the first, I assume there will be more to come, and I don’t want to overlook other opportunities. Is it worth specifically seeking out other acquisition companies if a specific offer is made by this company? Basically I’m curious if anyone in this situation has just waited to be contacted about acquisition, or if you’ve taken the initiative and gone out to try to sell the business.
