I’m setting up a startup venture with an American (living in the US) partner. I’m based in Europe instead.
70-80% of our customers will be American. Our business might raise VC money from the US and our exit will probably be a sale to American corporation.
Question is: should we setup in Delaware, Wyoming or anywhere somewhere in the US? Or is it fine to setup somewhere in Estonia or the UK, United Arab Emirates?
I’m kind of skeptical of BVI, Cayman Island, etc. It seems that the hassle won’t be worth at this stage.
To be honest, common sense tells me to set up in the US.
Would love to know what you think though.
