Issues with Emails - Not Receiving/Sending

I'm having lots of emails never make it to me and several outbound emails never making it to the recipient. How are y'alls email systems set up? I have GSuite/Gmail with my own domain. It's super worrisome. I've reached out numerous times to Gmail and they always recommend things I've already done (messing with spam filters, setting up DNS records, etc). I've heard about transactional emails but I'm not sure how they work...
