I have an idea for a startup, that is based on data from online stores such as Amazon or Asos. I would get the data of a product by scraping stuff like images, name, whether the product is in stock and so forth. However, I am a bit unsure how legal this stuff is. I am pretty sure, that I am allowed to scrape and use the name and the stock status of a product, however, I am more unsure about whether I am allowed to use the image. To my knowledge the images could (1) be a stock image provided by the product brand (which I guess I am allowed to use?), or (2) be an image made by the store (i.e. Amazon/Asos).
So yeah, am I allowed to use a scraped image on my own website?
Let's assume, that all of the data is not locked behind a login or similar and that I provide a source link for the scraped data.
