Need help with the next step on starting a Mini Golf course.

I live in a town where the is not much to do besides go bowling and the closest mini golf course is an hour away. I have a theme in mind, size of my building, basic course layout, and there is a couple plots of land I'm looking at purchasing right now.

My question is, once I purchase the land how do I go about building my mini golf course? Do I just give contractors a basic ( hey I want a waterfall here or I want a couple bumps over there)? I feel like I'm stuck at this point on what to do next and I can't really find anything about mini golf courses online.
