Seed Funding Round question

Hey everyone, First time raising seed so sorry for my ignorance:

On wednesday I contacted a VC and told him I was having a demoday the next day (today). I think that because of the FOMO, he scheduled quickly a meeting for tomorrow friday. I told him in the email we were raising 500k.

The thing is... They invest +500k tickets in seed rounds. Is there any problem if tomorrow in the meeting I tell him that we are raising between 500k - 1M? I dont want to miss this opportunity because the size of the round is small for them... Maybe if I say 500k he wouldn't invest 100%, but if I ask between 500-1M (because we have other people interested (not commited yet)) he would invest... I thought this is the right decision... but

  1. What do you recommend in this case? We are having a hard time raising money and we need something between 500k-1M in order to grow next year.

2) Do you think he could ask why I change the size or this is something normal? I mean, is my business and I know how much I need...

3) In order to get in, do they need to see that there are others investing already or not for these size of rounds?

Thanks!!
