How important is the brand/businesses image and virtual presence when cold emailing?

Hello!
Trying to determine priorities while setting up a B2B agency. How much does social media presence and existing information(customer reviews besides the obvious) matter when sending out your first cold emails? How much of a history should the business have on socials? How much does it affect your trust for the business as a business owner?
