What would get you to open up about your legal/HR issues to a cold caller?

I sell HR and employment law services over the phone. A lot of businesses don't realize the risks they face by not having.the proper documentation, policies and procedures in place for their businesses

The hardest part is getting small business owners to open up to me about what they are doing to protect themselves. Often they willl say "We have it under control" or "we do it all in-house." Or "I have a lawyer friend I'm using." And these shut the conversation down. What I really want to get at are the issues that may keep them up at night when it comes to their staff.

What sort of questions would intrigue you enough to stick around on the call?
