Fellow entrepreneurs -- how many employees, or rather, how big do you think your company needs to be before taking in interns for the summer ? Motivated interns can get a lot done in a short amount of time, learn a lot from the experienced team, and salaries are lower than regular employees.
I work part-time at a non-profit research company and we have about 20 interns every summer and its great having their fresh ideas and excitement and they gain a lot of experience and contacts. In my side-gig, my co-founder thinks it's too much work finding, hiring and training someone for just the summer. I disagree. We have 14 people, so hiring one or two wouldn't be a huge drain on resources, plus I think it's a great way to give back and help the next generation.
