Hey all. Would like your thoughts here. I have a walk-in cooler in storage for several months now. I bought in working condition from a restaurant that closed down. Was going to use it but plans fell though.
It was disassembled by licensed electricians and stored since.
Buyer closed deal a couple days ago. Tonight he txt saying that it doesn't work and that a cooler coil is broken. He wants to return it for full refund or wants me to return some of the purchase price so he can fix it.
I sold in Good Faith and at a great discount, since I didn't need it was paying storage fees for no reason. Even with a new coil, dude would still be way ahead.
Thoughts on how to reply and stand my ground. I don't need the headache of small claims court.
Many thanks everyone.
EDIT: It's a 12k cooler. Bought for 8k. I wanted at least 5k. Sold it for $3300.
