HELP! My business phone line was down for 1 week, need help on how to manage custome

So for the last week I got almost no calls or sales which is very unusual for me. Most customers call or text to place orders, after 3-4 days I realized that my business # was offline. I called the company and they said they reinstated the number, but I just found out again it isn’t working!
I am freaking out because I don’t know how many people have tried to contact me, and whether they now think my business is shut down or something. How should I go about managing this nightmare? Should I create an alternative number and send texts to my customer base explaining the situation?
